Description
The one-piece construction of the Talley Lightweight Alloy Scope Mount is unique. The rigid design has no joint between the scope and the rifle. The Talley Lightweight unitized design eliminates the possibility of an "out of alignment" interface or "loose connection" between the ring and base of traditional two-piece designs.
Ultimately this provides more strength and durability than rival steel rings and bases but doing it with a lighter overall weight. By extruding the 7000 series alloy known for its durability and then precision CNC machining the mount to its final design we can provide you with the strongest, lightest mount system on the market.
The Talley 30mm lightweight scope mount 730749 will suit Cooper Firearms of Montana Models 21, 38, and 57M, and Kimber Models 82, 84, and 22.
*Not suitable for Kimber models 84M or 84L. You will need Talley 738749 for the Kimber 84M and Talley 738X749 for the Kimber 84L as they now utilise larger 8-40 screws.*
Talley proposes a guide (to be used only as a rule of thumb - no guarantees!) for ring height calculation, it is:
- Low Ring Height for scopes up to 44 mm objective with standard barrel contour.
- Medium Ring Height for scopes up to 50 mm objective with standard barrel contour.
- High Ring Height for scopes with a 56 mm objective with standard barrel contour.
- Extra-High Ring Height for large objective scopes with heavy contour barrels and single shot rifles.
